Why is providing answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) an important U.S. business practice?

Providing answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) is very important to your customers, prospects, and partners because it shows that others have asked similar questions or faced similar problems, and that your company has the solutions they need. Publishing FAQs is a way of showing your customers that you care about them and demonstrates how they might use your products or services to solve their problems. If FAQs are classified or arranged by category, they provide a quick and easy way to learn more before buying a product or service. FAQs are also useful for internal training purposes.

From your perspective, FAQs are a good way to get some important messages across—messages that would be less credible (or inappropriate) in marketing collaterals (brochures, etc.). For example, FAQs are a good place to explain why you are better than the competition, and to indicate some of the specific advantages of your products, etc.
